We are 12 days out and finalizing songs. We are not doing the traditional wedding march and instead having an instrumental song play. Im sitting here listening to it and I am totally crying my eyeballs out thinking about everything. How on earth am I going to walk down the aisle and not cry? Can...

Personally I think those would make the best photos. So emotional.

I'm gonna cry. Its what I do. Everyone knows it. My BFF/MOH will be holding tissues for me and my FH says he'll have tissues for me too.

My Mom is walking me down the aisle because I lost my Dad 13 years ago. It will be a very emotional day for our entire family. My FH and I have had a long distance relationship for 9 years and have live in the same country just this past year. I am so ready to be married!!!!!

I just knew I would cry as soon as I took my dads arm. I cry at every wedding I go to, even if I barely know the couple. When the day came though, I was just SO excited for it all to finally be happening. I didn't end up crying at all that day. DH did though, which is funny because typically he only cries if I'm crying.

I cry over everything. I sob during every episode of say yes to the dress even if the bride isn't crying. We did a first look and I got all of my ugly cry out of the way. It was perfect. When walking down the aisle I was smiles the whole way.

From what I hear, you are so wrapped up in the day that by the time it happens, you are ready for it and hopefully emotionally stable lol

I cried every time I listened to our song before the wedding. The day of I didn't cry -i was too excited. Don't worry about it. If you cry, just let it happen. Smiley smile

Remember to breathe in and out. When I was walking down the aisle I was crying and almost let out a sob when I reminded myself to breathe, and took deep breaths in and out. It changed everything!

No advice on how not to cry. I UGLY CRIED the whole way down the aisle lol. I got to my parents who met me halfway and my mom whispered "stop crying, he's going to think you don't want to marry him!" Lol

I didn't cry until I got to my vows. I actually was almost laughing as I started down the aisle just from seeing DH and being nervous.

Lol seriously though, I was good up until our vows. All I got out was saying H's first name and then I lost it.

Also been trying to think of ways to minimize the tears. Especially when it comes to the father-daughter dance song. My eyes get watery and I start having a runny nose every time I listen to it. hoping to listen to it enough these next two weeks so I'm practically desensitized to it.

Same here, not sure what can be done. I cry when I hear some of the songs we are using. It's quite possible I'll explode in a mess of ugly crying before getting all the way down the aisle.

    Embrace it.

I have THE ugliest cry face photos in the world.

I wish my son had been at the back instead of the front where he whispered, "Don't cry, Mom, it's not so bad."

Your stories are too cute and funny everyone! Thank you for the advice. I am sure I will be too nervous to cry and am overwhelmed now because we are coming up on our day, and listening to that song makes me happy cry!

I hope everyone has a wonderful wedding, and to those that are already married, many years of love to you!

    Cheers Smiley smile
