Hey everyone! I hope you're all doing well& are as stress free as possible(:

So my skin is very oily and I've yet to find a primer and foundation to combat the oiliness. Does anyone have any recommendations for primers and foundation? I've used the Maybelline matte poreless foundation, becca& makeup forever step 1, as well as a setting spray. I also "bake" but I still have problems. I prefer full coverage also. I'd love to test out some combos so I know what works on the day of and well after. Thanks in advance!(:

I also use Estée Lauder Double Wear. My face typically looks like a frying pan but with that foundation, nothing! I use Smashbox (purple) and it works great for me. And yes it has a large range of colors.

I have PCOS and it makes my skin insanely oily. I mean, it's oily within an hour of washing it. I use Peter Thomas Roth pore putty as a primer. It's amazing, the lady at Sephora suggested it and it's so great that sometimes I just wear it alone with a little mascara. Then I mix cover fx foundation and taste Amazonian clay foundation (the cover fx runs a little dark and the tate runs a little light) and I use a translucent tarte setting powder

I second going to Sephora and talking to the consultants/getting samples! I just went last week to find a primer for my oily, acne-prone skin and they gave me three to try: Bare Minerals Prime Time Original Foundation Primer, Givenchy Mister Mat Matifying Primer, and Cover FX Mattifying Primer with Anti-Acne Treatment. The consultant I worked with was very knowledgeable and even told me which one to try first, second, and third to make the best decision. Good luck!!

Moisturize with Ole Henriksen Counter Balance Oil Hydrator, prime with Make Up For Ever Mattifying primer, then I do a layer of translucent powder (I use AirSpun), THEN foundation (Estee Lauder DoubleWear light), followed by baking with AirSpun. If I REALLY need it to last, I use a mattifying spray.

OP- What about @GymRat's question. I think starting at skin care maybe more important than masking the underline concern.

Use milk of magnesia as a primer. Refer to the link below.

    Good luck!

I have very oily skin too. Currently I use Arbonne FC5 purifying cleanser and toner, a light green tea moisturizer, Smashbox primer, and L'Oréal Pro Matte foundation. I am loving the results! My skin feels soft and supple, not oily. I have heard good things about the Kat Von D Lock It foundation so I may give that a try for the wedding for staying power.
