Oh my. Veils are expensive. Suggestions?

Hello, Ladies! First post here. Today I bought my wedding gown! I loved the veil they put on me but couldn't bring myself to dish out another $300 after purchasing the dress. Are there places to buy discount or preowned veils? Is it crazy to think of getting one made or trying to make it myself?...

    Mine was actually given to me by a friend. The ones I was trying on while dress shopping were over $200 and I just wasn't comfortable paying that.

    Definitely check Etsy. I am thinking about getting one just for some photos and a cathedral length is only about $60. Nothing fancy obviously but way cheaper than $300!
