So I went dress shopping back in February and my dress was expected to arrive at the end of this month. To my pleasant (or so I thought) surprise, I was contacted by the location I went to & was told that my dress arrived & I could have it shipped to my house! I agreed, and was a happy little girl when I saw the pink box at my door.
... and then I opened it. IT’S THE COMPLETELY WRONG DRESS!! To top it all off, the dress I received is one that I tried on but absolutely hated it so much that I didn’t even leave the dressing room to show my friends and family. When I purchased my dress, the price was a lot lower than what I expected but I thought it was just because there was a sale going on. Nope, it was because the cashier (who’s also the store manager) put in the wrong item code.
I called the store and they put a note in my account & told me to bring in the dress I received when they reopen and they’ll take care of the rest . Let’s hope the solution is as easy as they made it seem over the phone.
Just when I thought the wedding planning process was going smoothly... time for a nice strong quarintini 🍸

    Hi Smiley smile , I also received my dress through mail and because I need some alterations I asked numerous times if they are going to work with brides with any issues due to the pandemic, they reassured me that they would and even if I wanted to return it, it would be ok to do so.. hopefully this helps put some ease on you.

    I’m so sorry to hear that. I was originally going to buy a dress from David’s Bridal however I couldn’t find a dress I liked in my size and I didn’t want to settle nor did I want to pay a lot of money for a dress I am going to wear for one day and only God knows what will happen to it after that. So I decided to (I know this is going to sound crazy) but my dress from fashion nova and I actually love it it’s called the Party with Cardi dress

    Awwww thank you I will definitely post pics. At this point I think David’s Bridal should give you a major discount I was having issues with their website and that’s what made me try fashion nova

    I'm scared to even go to David's. I'm in the middle of planning bachelorette and bridal showers because I'm my sister's MOH and I'm also trying to plan my own wedding. I ordered my BM dress back the first week of JANUARY. It was supposed to come in by April 23. Texted their dumb "smart assistant" a week later, and supposedly it would arrive by the end of this week. Still nothing. Now you can't even get ahold of them by phone, and when I was finally texted back today they say "it will be shipped soon". I feel like I'm being given the run around. Smiley sad


    On the other hand, I bought my own dress from JJsHouse and the turnaround was 3 weeks. Definitely NOT advising my own bridal party to go with David's if the turnaround can be quicker.
    I hope you're able to get your problem fixed but I'd strongly suggest you switch where your BMs get their dresses. They might help you as the bride, but they don't seem to care about the bridal party at all.

    I’ve heard about JJshouse , from what I’ve read they’re pretty good. But I’m definitely reconsidering having my bridal party go through David’s bridal after this experience.

    I wanted to like David's so bad! They're certainly convenient and I was in love with their color "Iris." But they didn't have any dresses that fit my bridal style and after this bad customer service experience, I'm pretty turned off by it. They've given my sister AWESOME customer service, but I suspect they're prioritizing brides for obv reasons.


    JJsHouse on the other hand has made me very happy. Gotta be a little careful, since they sometimes cut cost with material choice, but for BMs they are awesome. I'm sure there are others out there that do a good job with BM dresses but I'm just trying to play it safe. Feel like I can't trust any company anymore! 😔

    I don’t blame you at all! I also looked at Azazie as another option for my bridal party but I’ll definitely take another look at JJshouse. & I agree it’s so hard to trust these companies nowadays it’s sad 🥺. But no worries we’ll get through this !

    There’s about 2-3 other locations near me that I can check out. I can’t even rely on yelp reviews because the one I’m having issues with had good reviews. But I’m sure one of them has to be better

    I hate when that happens I ordered a pair of shoes from online and I was so excited to get them just for them to be 3 sizes too big I cried and contacted them and sent the shoes back just to find out that most of the reviews I read weren’t true. I still haven’t found my shoes that I want yet. I’ve found my moms and my god daughter and junior brides though. But you are going to be gorgeous on your wedding day regardless of which dress
