Officiant hasn't contacted us, wedding in 2 weeks!

Has/was your officiant, pastor, marrying person, etc been in contact with you before your wedding? We texted ours at least a month ago because he's an acquaintance, and he said he would have us to dinner and talk about the ceremony, but he never actually got back with us and extended an invitation. We are now 16 days out from our wedding day and no word from him at all, even though he has liked my post on Instagram that I posted a month out and said "one month!" In the description. Are we just crazy and we don't really need to meet with hin? Did anyone else meet with their officiant beforehand or did he just show up for the rehearsal? Thanks for any advice!

    Maybe reach out to him again and see if he still wants to meet with you before the wedding! Maybe then he'll get the hint!

    I would give him a call and just ask if he still wanted to meet up for dinner before the wedding and that you would like to go over a few things.

    I met with my officiant once. We booked with him that day. We have corresponded via email about every 2 months. At this point, I would reach out again!

    I think you definitely be meeting with your officiant before the wedding or at least talk on the phone or skype. Not all ceremonies are the same. I would definitely contact him again

    Have you contacted him? I'd just reach out by calling him, not texting, and come up with a plan for the day of. Confirm he knows the address, when to show up, when the rehearsal is, and when you guys should meet in the next two weeks.

    It's at a church he pastors at so he knows when and where. It's just weird because he's sort of a friend of my fiance's and we kept thinking he would reach out to us. Of course we are going to contact him at this point through since he hasn't. Thanks everyone for your two cents!
