October 2nd! I go back and forth with excitement and anxiety. I get excited thinking about the day, getting married, and spending time with my loved ones...and then I remember my to-do list and the anxiety kicks in! My fiance keeps reminding me that at the end of the day, it's about celebrating us...no one will remember the dessert table decorations or the welcome sign after the fact. Take it one day and one task at a time!
October 23rd! Anxiety is kicking in for me, mostly because starting Monday I’m taking 4 online classes so I know I’m gonna be super busy this summer with school and finishing up planning! But I am super excited! It’s definitely coming quick!
October 15th... Not anxious right now but stressed the out due to work, my 2 older kids (21- totaled his car 2 weeks ago - and 16) and my 2 little ones (4 and 1). Long story short we were planning to get married in 2018, I got pregnant and due date was 2 weeks before wedding, then I miscarried, so really wasn't in any wedding planning mood. Became pregnant again a few months after the miscarriage and picked October 2021 thinking it was far enough out for planning. Then covid hit so we were in wait and see more. Then we finally decided last month (just prior to the date we would start losing deposits if we cancelled) that the restrictions in California should be mostly lifted for indoor events by October with the majority of our guests being vaccinated.
So now I'm like...crap... We're really doing this!! So much to do!! Thankfully we already had the venue/photographer/caterer reserved, but I decided to drop our original caterer, lose the deposit and signed a contract today with a new caterer. So in the past 3 weeks I've also gotten our DJ/uplighting/photo booth, and bartender hired and my dress is already in the closet, waiting for alterations. Next big things are groom/groomsmen and bridesmaid attire. 🤦🏻♀️
October 9th! We postponed from last March, and there’s part of me that still isn’t getting too excited because I got my hopes up last year. But I’m sure we’re in the clear and we’ll be able to celebrate our big day. Just need to lose the Covid weight to fit my dress that I bought last year 😳😬
October 10th here I feel a heck of alot better than I did 2 weeks ago only because I have finally found my wedding dress and ordered my bridesmaid dresses. Ladies, did you take care of the groomsmens outfits or did your husband? (I don't have a wedding planner or anything like that )
October 15th! Definitely feeling the anxiety as well. With everything opening up, the pessimist in me is just expecting things to shut down again and ruin another wedding for me. Trying to stay positive but it’s not always easy with all the unknowns.
