How are my October 2021 brides feeling? I'm getting married in the suburbs of Philly (Horsham PA) my venue has been great. We have the option to have some guests seated inside and some guests seated on the veranda which is right on the other side of a glass wall from the ball room. This is not my ideal option and we will only go this route if restrictions are still crazy when it gets closer to our wedding. We really want the reception to be indoors like we originally planned. We have about 165 on our guest list and we are prepared to cut that down but I would be thrilled if we could just have 125. Please let me know you you Fall 2021 brides are making out.

My venue allowed is to defer our payment until April, we also have an action for partial indoor and outdoor combined. I would reach out to your venue and just ask of you can push the payment until at least may when we have more people vaccinated and warmer weather.

Haven't decided a date yet- private residence my friends live in that hosts events is the likely spot (outdoors only on large property within the city). Unsure what to do. I just sketched out a guest list that's definitely missing people and I'm at 130 already Smiley sad. Quite a few guests are international/west coast so really unsure about things. The good news is we don't have to pay deposits or anything since so DIY if it ends up being the space we have in mind. I honestly can't imagine anything any earlier than late summer, even difficult to envision it this year at all.

What size weddings were actually happening last year in the city? I played two wedding gigs last year but they were microweddings. Have a bunch on my schedule for this summer but everything is pending, so hard to get the angle from that.

Also I found this page, for people like me/my partner who are doing a DIY thing hopefully at private outdoor space that doesn't have a defined "capacity"

Wedding venues are going off the state restrictions which right now are up to 15% of the total capacity.

Cairnwood? That’s the venue in Bryn Athyn I’m getting married at in June. They don’t know what’s going on in terms of allowance of people right now and I’m really having to consider downsizing my 150 to about 125 they suggested hoping that’s okay by June

Yes I’m at Cairnwood too! I know they have been doing big-ish weddings on the patio (not exactly sure how many people) but I’m not too upset if we have to go from 150 to 75 people as long as I can still get married. I’ve already postponed & re-planned once so I’m not doing it again!
What is the capacity allowed for the patio without restrictions? I would use that number and then look at the PA outdoor gatherings % to calculate the number allowed right now

Beautiful! They told me I can comfortably fit around 125 with a dance floor under the tent most likely by June! Without restrictions I think it can easily fit 150 but because we’re putting a dance floor in there it restricts the area a bit. Cairnwood told me they won’t open the indoor dance floor unless things open up 100%

I think the hardest part is waiting day by day for updates! I’m booked for June Philadelphia and as of today can’t do anything! I’m probably going to find an outdoor venue outside of Philadelphia. I’ve looked closely at NJ but it could take up to an hour to get from Center City out to any venue available

10.17 Georgia bride here. Since Georgia is WIDE OPEN (lol), we're moving forward with our 150 guest list. I received my first dose of the Moderna vaccine last Thursday, get the 2nd in April, and our governor just announced that we're going to have a vaccine hub at the Civic Center in the city where I live (Columbus) so hopefully my FH, family and friends can get theirs soon as well. We opted to utilize our entire ballroom that seats 400 people instead of using just half of the ballroom so there's more distancing. I hope by August, we have a bit of normalcy.

LOL, for the Philly area brides (hi OP), we are still nailing down our date. But likely Oct now, as I forgot about LANTERN FLY season! The venue recommended against summer/early September for this reason. Like there isn't enough between a pandemic and economic downturn and weather, haha!

We are getting married In Horsham in October as well. Our venue has a similar set up. We opted to trim down our guest list (by half) to have everyone inside.

Same!!! What is your wedding date? We are still hoping to have our full guest list inside. Our wedding is October 9th. We are sending out our save the dates next week to our full guest list of about 165 so fingers crossed.

YAY!! We're getting married on the 16th. We originally had 155 guests, but have paired it down so everyone could be indoors. The idea of having people sit outside, or in the tent, didn't sit well with my fiancé. He's the one who wanted a big wedding. And we never considered moving our date, so we're having a smaller wedding.

Of course, anything could change between now and October. But the planner in me likes to lock everything in. So we're staying firm at 83.

Our venue is in Philly and the restrictions are currently 15% capacity with no food or drink so we're 95% canceling. We were supposed to get married last October and the restrictions were 15% but at least we could eat and drink hah. I personally have zero hope for October in city limits.
