I am having a wedding this coming New Years Eve! Any reception ideas or decor tips to pull in a NYE theme without looking too cheesy?

I was in a New year's Eve wedding and it was a blast. They kept it pretty simple and elegant with black dresses and silver and gold accents. not too much nye stuff except for at 11 they had a giant timer they flipped over and then not long before midnight we got party hats and stuff like that

I wouldnt care about decor as much as top notch hosting re: passed apps, multi course meal, live band, premium open bar, etc.

Agreed. If I'm going to a wedding on NYE, I definitely am looking for a party atmosphere with good food, music, and booze.
Black, silver, and gold is a classy combo!

Totally agree!

What type of venue are you looking at? For NYE, as a guest I’d be all over someplace cool like a modern or Art Deco hotel, auto or art museum, rooftop bar, yacht, etc.
