NWR: Nuvaring users. Doctors know best!

I have been on the Nuvaring about seven years and it is the ONLY birth control that didn't make me horribly sick to my stomach or cause crazy migraines. At first, it did a great job with my cramps and my general menstrual moodiness (to put it gently), as well as stopping the sharp pain I occasionally get in my breast cyst around my period, but I have noticed that I tend to have cramps and period-feels more frequently than I used to with the ring, although none of my symptoms have been nearly as bad as they were pre-ring. At this point, I plan to stay on it until menopause haha

I effing LOVE my nuvaring! I've been on it for about seven years as well and I adore it.

I used it for about 6 years. Loved it. Then suddenly my body started rejecting it. One day I put it in, a few days later got a yeast infection and had to remove it. Got another period. That happened 3 times in a row. Went and saw a dr. She said that perhaps it was a bad batch and wrote me a new script. Same thing happened again. My body started reacting to the hormone. I did some research and found I wasn't alone with the issue. Haven't used it since.

What is with asking people on a wedding forum about birth control? If it was recommended by your doctor and you like it great, but hearing others people's experiences with it means absolutely nothing...

I have been on the ring for 10 years! Absolutely love and recommend it.

Reallindseyo, yeah it actually kinds of means something to me. I honestly care how others reacted to this same perscription. Its nice to hear from people i see reply on a daily basis ,not some suzy whom posted 10 years ago about it. Dont like it ? Dont click

I used it years ago. I have paragard now. I remember it fondly. A super bonus is that it has 4 weeks of hormones, so it's super easy to cycle through. I got kinda bloated with it- but I'm progesterone sensitive.

It depends on the person. I only know 2 friends who have been on the nuvaring, and they both got pregnant while on it, so in my secondhand experience, it sucks. But other people love it so..

I've been on it for two years and I love it. I've tried the pill and patch beforehand. But nuvaring is so easy to use- and it really hasn't messed with any hormones.
