Anyone had this done before the big day? ( or ever) My surgery is scheduled for Friday I am so nervous and excited at the same time. My vision is horrible. @luisine 6 years ago mine cost roughly $5000 for both eyes but I was working for a hospital that was affiliated with the surgeon so I got a discount

Best thing I've ever done. It was a rough few weeks with the eye drops but it was so worth it in the long run.

I'm so glad that I happened upon this! While I love my glasses, I hate having to wear them, lol....

Might have to look into this (no pun intended)

I had ICL (implantable collamer lens) surgery in 2010 and it was life-changing. There's no other way to describe it. I chose ICL because my vision was so bad, I was at the edge of FDA approval for LASIK, so that scared me. My mom had regular LASIK and had a similarly great experience. It's a scary few minutes, but it shouldn't hurt and recovery is short. Definitely worth it!

I had mine done a week before a friend's wedding in 2010. I was a BM and did not want to be the only one in glasses. :-) It was a great experience. Someone drove me home afterwards and I vegged on the couch listening to TV. I bought 8 pairs of sunglasses the day I was healed (can you tell I was happy). Best money I ever spent.

I had this procedure about 8 -9 yrs back. I think I paid about $3k (but got the police discount) no regrets, was quick, painless (felt pressure), and got the lifetime plan so far eyes remain strong! :+)

I am having this done on June 13!!! FH had it done 2 years ago and loved it!! Also, don't plan on doing much after surgery, they give you drugs to sleep the whole day so your eyes can heal

Mine is going to cost $3200 after a 15% discount (VSP vision insurance qualifies for a 15% discount). I think it was around $3700 before the discount.

Mine was quick I just saved money then did it without thinking. The procedure was fast and I didn't give much thought about it, my friend recommended the ophthalmologist and I trusted her more than the doctor LOL. However I really do recommend him as well he was brilliant, he didn't scare me at all he did a multiple of tests even before the surgery he did them again just to be sure, this is how you know your doctor is good.

The only awkward and a little painful part is when he used the clamp to open my eyes open under the machine, it's only because I have small eyes that's why it was uncomfortable. The procedure took less than 15 minutes. I couldn't open my eyes because it was stinging the whole day, I had to rest them. That's it the following day I was a superwoman, the feeling you got that you won't have to use your eyeglasses again was indescribable.

I'm really glad I did the Lasik surgery, I don't know if you live in UAE but here is where I got my surgery https://uae.storat.com/dubai/lasik
