NWR: Ex's coming out of the woodwork

Anyone else's ex's coming out of the woodwork or just me? I told FH about one that recently messaged me on IG and he was so cool and calm about it! I would have been like, "Did you tell that hussy we're getting married?!?!?!" But then again... that's why he's my other half LOL. We're total...

But then again... that's why he's my other half LOL. We're total opposites, and yet equally just as weird.

This is hot off the press today - I'm worried about you being unhappy because of my mistakes.

Seriously?????? I've never been happier and it's thanks to your miatakes.

@Jaklyn a friend of mine has the same issue. the ex's family and the groom's family are like super close, like the moms are best friends. My friend was really pissed that it was her fiance that brought up her being invited, she knew his mom would insist but she didnt want him on team invite exes. But once I and he explained it to her she understood why. (I'm her friend not his, but she was legit thinking about doing something vindictive to him if they invited the girl). Basically, since her whole family was invited it would be odd she's the only one and it would be obvious and the parents aren't going to stop being friends (these ppl are in their 60s). Then she isn't going to actually come bc she lives like 7 states away, haven't seen him in years since he moved from his hometown, and she has moved on and in a long term rship. So the thing was no one thought she would come so just invite her and keep peace with the FILs. And we were all right, she was never sent an STD and declined the invite when it came.

Yup -- my first love found my PROFESSIONAL WEBSITE and sent an email through there. It blew my day, because I was like wtf. who does this, and when I told FH, he was like "You should write back and just say heyyyy how've ya been?" Love his sense of humor and how unbothered he is by most things.

I am, however, still unnerved by people coming out of nowhere.

@FFW it's just vindictive on FMIL's part since she knows that this girl has held on to some things with FH and that he didn't want here there. They aren't close to her family at all, but it comes down to her going to a Catholic school (which FMIL is big on) and I didn't. She's coming to Nebraska from Oregon.

Wooooow.. She's even traveling to see this? That's nuts! I wouldn't pay to see any of my ex's getting married!

@JaKLyn your stories are always ridiculous! You deserve a year long vacation in Bali for what you put up with. And like @AlexisM said...why the f is she traveling that far for this?! Beyond insane.

Nothing from my ex's (so far - fingers crossed because I have 1 that potentially will) but FH has an ex-gf, who he's still friends with on fb, who the minute we announced our engagement messaged him in all capitals to say that she was already so excited and couldn't wait for her invitation. Um...no.

I haven't had any come out of the wood work, but there is one that keeps popping up now and then. I was included in a 'group' text of him sending out his phone number, then I got a request on FB, which was weird because I never deleted him or anything. He's not a 'real' ex, more of an old buddy... It's been weird because I know he's seen all the stuff SO and I post on FB and such.

ETA: I will actually have a legit ex (3 years together) at the wedding with his wife. We're all still friendly. I was at their wedding, too. I don't think he would do anything crazy. At least not in public. I can kinda see him texting me something cryptic because I know he's not happy in his marriage.

Yeah, she already has a flight booked and she's staying with the FIL's the night before the wedding and has a hotel room for the wedding night. My FMIL is a real gem for inviting her and putting her up the night before.

I've had one guy that I used to "talk to" tell me that he was coming to NC to steal me back. I laughed it off.

This is not an ex, but while we were on our honeymoon in the lazy river at our resort this lady was hitting on DH and was asking him to go get a drink with her at the bar. But I quickly said to her in a very firm voice "he's already had a drink, THANK YOU" she then tried to turn around and offer me a drink, I floated right passed her like I didn't hear her..I was heated..lol

@Alexis - I was dumbfounded. Can he be any more self absorbed? Just ridiculous.

My only other "Serious" boyfriend (which wasn't that serious..we dated three-ish years, but I was like 18 and dumb when we started dating.) randomly commented on one of my profile pictures post-engagement and all it said was "mad rad Smiley smile"

Then when I posted a picture from our wedding he commented and was like "Congratulations! I am so happy that you are happy!"

No you're not, that's a weird comment, and why am I still FB friends with you?

We didn't have any problems with ex's, but my DH did run into his long time girlfriend the morning of our wedding. What a day for that to happen! I wasn't there obviously, but it sounded like things were pleasant--thankfully!!

My psycho exBF and DH's crazy XW never went away.

DH's ex had her best friend message him and ask where their invitations to our wedding were. Real mature....

DH's ex-wife, (he can't really get away from her as they share 2 daughter), texted him the day before the wedding saying she wished him well on his wedding day, but then proceeded to say she wanted him to think long and hard on his decision as she didn't want him making a mistake he would regret later.

I just laughed, as this is coming from a women who is going on marriage number 3.
