So I really want to get a Brazilian wax before my wedding/HM and I was hoping to get some advice from you ladies since I have never had one. First, how far in advance should I get it? I know when I've had other areas waxed it can be sore for a while and I want to be pain free and not red on the...

So I really want to get a Brazilian wax before my wedding/HM and I was hoping to get some advice from you ladies since I have never had one.

First, how far in advance should I get it? I know when I've had other areas waxed it can be sore for a while and I want to be pain free and not red on the wedding day.

Also, how bad will this actually hurt? I'm talking a top to bottom, front to back Brazilian here! LOL so should I down a few glasses of wine before or should I be fine without any pain killers?

I have been doing it for years now and can't live without it. It does hurt, but I think its more of a awkward pain. I would also recommend about 4 days before. The first time will be the worse. Just try to lay back and not think about it, I know, easier said than done. Don't drink caffine the day of either as my girl tells me that hightens the pain. Try looking at a magazine during, so your not seeing them do it and expecting it when it happens.

    Good luck Smiley smile

I also recommend going once before the time your going to wax for the wedding/HM. After a few times you do get used to it. Some areas more than others. I have extremely sensitive skin so I request a sensitive skin wax. Definitely make sure they powder the skin before waxing. It makes a big difference. But if they know what they are doing then that shouldn't have to be asked. For sure go 2-3 days before the wedding. It will make sure any irritation is gone.

Don't shower right after. It will irritate the area and continue to apply aloe vera it will help any irritation. Also don't wear thong panties and if possible wear loose fitting pants/shorts or a skirt. It will be more comfortable when leaving. Mine lasts 2-3 weeks. But I have extremely course hair. After a few treatments and regular visit its does lessen the amount of hair and it thins it out which makes it easier and less painful later down the road.

I get Brazilian waxes all the time. I think you should get it about 2-3 days before your wedding. If this is your first time it will hurt but if you go European Wax Center or Blue Mercury ( I don't what city and state you are in) but those places are across US if I'm not mistaken. They don't double dip and they use a type of wax that you don't need to rip off with the paper that most places use. If you tell the technician it is your 1st time she will prepare you in areas where it will hurt more than others.

I definitely recommend getting it done though.

Don't drink the night before- it'll make it easier for you to bruise. I'd get it a couple days before- no closer- so you're not sensitive the night of Smiley smile Use a face wash that has salicylic acid for a few days after to help with bumps and pesky ingrowns too. I've been getting them for a few years now and I don't think I could stop! Good Luck!
