NWR: Adult Dance Classes in Humble TX?

What kind of dance? Is this for you and your FH or just for you?

I've heard great things about pole dancing classes! Is that what you're looking for?

Its just for me. i had 6 yrs of danc training. & may what to get back in it if he gets that job in which he will be working from 3pm to almost midnight. a mixture of ballet lyrical modern jazz hip hop pointe.

I would google dance studios -- most of them offer adult dance classes. In my experience here in Austin, the adult classes aren't super advanced they're more for fun. So for example, there aren't any studios here that offer pointe classes except Ballet Austin. But lots of places that offer the kinds of dance -- usually they have classes a few nights a week.

I have 1 friend of a friend in Humble if you need me to see if I can find out anything, but your best bet might be google or yelp!

Oh yeah that place looks great! I bet they'd let you try a class out too. Also, if those don't work or if there aren't enough interesting classes, look into yoga and pilates. I had a lot of dance growing up and took ballet classes even into my early 30's (and may again who knows), and have found that yoga and pilates are great alternatives or in addition to....

@Lucinda, I live in humble and they are right by my house and i dance as well. It's pretty hard finding an adult dance studio. Especially a modern, lyrical or laturgical dance studio. I've been to profusion a few times. I like it and the atmosphere is welcoming. Price-wise they aren't too bad either and are probably the closest to you. The other few that I've found were quite a distance away and kind of pricey.

I'd consider enrolling at a local junior college. I know places like HCC and San Jac offer classes and they aren't very expensive.

A few places offer adult classes, but I don't know of any offhand. There used to be an awesome place near Rice Village, but I can't remember the name of it.

Why Humble? I thought you lived by Sugar Land...

Yeah but both of us thought that it would be better if we lived up in humble because of a situation

@ Lucinda, sorry it took me so long to reply. I know that they do have a lyrical class. The instructor is really great. As far as pointe classes, I'm not sure but like Meghan said, local junior colleges offer those classes. Lonestar Community College offers dance classes, modern and ballet and performance classes. I took those every semester I went there. And inexpensive also. They also opened a Lonestar campus on west lake houston going towards summerwood. You can check there as well.

@ Zebra Print Bride - i contacted the profusion arts place & they told me tha they didn't offer any adult classes at this time
