Number of quests that actually show

I was want it opinions on how many guests you invited as to how many actually showed. I am inviting about 100 but would rather have about 75 or less show up. I want to invite these people still so they have the chance and dont feel unimportant but need a smaller quest count. What's your experiences?...

We sending 105 invitations, totaling 243 people. About 10 (25ish people) of those invitations live in the same state as us so I am very curious to see how many we actually get.

We invited around 210 people and are having around 120. We knew we could afford 100% attendance even though we knew we wouldn't get it because some of the older people we invited don't travel. But even so our RSVP rate was lower than we expected (most people are OOT). We had estimated ~150 guests and signed all our contracts with that as the minimum. I wish we hadn't done that because now we are going to have a ton of leftover food. It's hard to know how to accurately estimate. Good luck!

From what I have learned nobody knows your guests better then you. You should be able to tell who on your guest list is likely to come or not. I invited 140. I was prepared to host 140. However I knew from the beginning that we wouldn't have more than 100 people show up and our final guest count is around 70. I knew most my quests would be traveling across the country to come and I knew that there were a lot of guests that didn't have the means of making that trip.

Why do you need a smaller guest count? If you need a smaller guest count because you can't afford 100 people then don't invite 100 people. But if you need a smaller guest count because of personal preference then you can invite who you want and just hope for the best.

Yep, plan for everyone on your guest list.

We invited 136 people. 134 attended.

We're inviting 190 total, we're already aware of about 10 who can't make it, and I think our realistic number is probably about 165. But, I'm making sure I have the money and space for 190.

DW here. If everyone comes it will be just over 80 people. As long as we have 50 I'm not paying for people who aren't there.

130/150 invited RSVP'd yes. 127 came of those that said yes came. 1 couple had to back out at the last minute because they were OOT and they're young sons were sick. 1 was the plus-one of a friend who ultimately didn't bring a date.

Definitely plan for 100%. We invited 166, 160 RSVPed yes, and 152 showed for us. About 70% of our guests were from OOT, so we weren't quite expecting that response, but we're so happy everyone was able to make it!

We budgeted for 150, invited 150 and 110 are attending. We were prepared for 100% attendance but we knew we wouldn't hit that because for our friends it's an out of state wedding. And a few relatives couldn't travel. So we knew it wouldn't be 100% but we could afford if it was.

Usually about 80% will attend, but you should still plan for 100%!
