Number of bridesmaids vs. Groomsmen

My fiance has 5 groomsmen, and doesnt want to cut anyone out. I on the other hand have 3 bridesmaids but the third I am on the fence about (not super close/ lives in another state). I would prefer to have people by my side that I’m close with. My question is.. will the “ratio” look strange? Or like...

Maybe some can be "ushers" or give speeches so still can be honored if you don't want them all standing up front. I think he just wants to include them with special job.

Otherwise there is no rule they have to be symmetrical. Its your day do what you both want to do no worries or stresses.

It's not necessary to have even number of attendees. I'm having 3 bridesmaids, and my FH only has a best man, and he really struggled with who to ask for that.

It’s your wedding you can do whatever you want it to be. If she’s not close I wouldn’t have her as a bridesmaid. So if he has 5 you have 2 it’s fine. You want people to be close to you by your side.
