What do you do when your fiance' leaves all the planning for you, even when you ask him for his ideas? I just want his input, but he says "whatever you want is fine"

It takes two to be in a relationship, and it takes two to plan the wedding.

If he doesn't help, then it doesn't happen.

Now, there are many things he may just not have an opinion on, but you can ask for his input or for a different perspective.

But, mostly, as I made clear to DH: it takes two people to get married, so it takes two people to plan it.

    Or it's the courthouse.

Because I enjoy it, I've done most of the legwork on narrowing down the vendors to five or six per thing. BUT he has to help me chose from that shorter list and he isn't allowed to not participate in the selection of stuff. I'm judging how we work together planning the wedding (our first big life event) on how the future of this relationship is gonna go with kids/holidays/etc. If he doesn't help with this, will he help with those things?

Thank you all!!!!!! glad to know I wasnt the only one feeling this way. I will ask him for things he is interested in. I dont mind planning it all, but I would like SOME input since it is his wedding too.

Mine said the same thing, I ask his opinion for everything. So since he wont give many ideas I talk to him about certain subjects to see how or what he would like. Like he wouldn't give me a color, I knew his favorite color was blue, but not the shade he like the most, eventually he told me in conversation, and with food, I asked if he went to a wedding what type of food would he prefer... he gave me that answer as well, then eventually he suggested something he liked.

Trust me, I’m planning a vow renewal and I say “I” because my husband is the same way. There is no “we”😂 I ask for an opinion he says, “whatever you want.” So, I decided to just do whatever I want🤷🏼‍♀️

I wish mine wouldn't try to help so much! We were otp during my lunch break and I got a call from a potential wedding planner who I stayed otp with about 15 mins. When I called my FH back he wanted to know every single word the planner said. I'm like geez I got this you just worry about the DJ, videographer, and alcohol.

Mine is similar. But we did talk about his responsibilities in the beginning. We go to all potential vendors together. He is especially excited about cake and food. I think you should just communicate how you feel. And if he doesn't help, he can't complain about anything you decide.

My FH is the same way. He comes along for everything but is so low key he wouldn't care if it was a backyard BBQ. He's also helped if I am having some indecision but in general he just wants me to be happy and goes with the flow.

My fiancé does the same thing! He tells me that whatever I do is fine but then when I tell him what I’m doing, he doesn’t like it 🙃
