NSFW - Not using all lingerie for honeymoon?

Katie, on November 7, 2017 at 11:07 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 14

I'd like some feedback. FH and I haven't had sex yet (we believe in waiting), though we have gotten really close to it. I've bought (and now been given) some simple lingerie (some lacy underwear from Soma, a comfy but sexy chemise from Soma, a chemise that's not at all for sleeping in from Bare Necessities (I think), and a chemise from Nordstrom that could maybe be slept in?).

Since I'm not planning to buy new stuff often/all the time (because budget), I feel like I should only bring one or two chemises on the honeymoon and save the other one or two for after, as further surprises for him so I'm not just bringing it all out.

I'm probably also kind of overthinking it, but I would appreciate some thoughts/feedback.

Just keep in mind he might not be a lingerie kind of guy. Just bring it and if you don't use it then save it

Have you asked FH if he likes lingerie? Some men just aren't into it and some love it. Personally FH loves it, I have tons, but I only give it to him on special occasions & try not to numb him to it. It's up to you, I would bring two and save the rest for other special occasions Smiley smile

I think it's really a personal preference, I brought a lot of lingerie with me and only wore about half of it

I think it's fine to not bring it all on the honeymoon, because that's also a lot to pack and you are likely tight on space (no one needs 4 different lingerie outfits for a 4 day vacation), but if you want to you could. Guys aren't so much of "ooh that's new", they just like what they like, whether you've worn it before or not probably doesn't matter to them as long as it's visually appealing Smiley winking

Yeah, I asked him if it's something he'd be interested in, and he said yes.

But thanks! That helps a lot. I've been going back and forth trying to decide.

H prefers me buck nekkid so I don't waste my money on lingerie anymore. I do buy really nice matching bra and panty sets though because I like how they make me feel. If you like it, go for it, but I really don't think you'll need more than 1 or 2 pieces that you love for the HM.

Don't put pressure on yourselves either. If it happens, it happens. No wrong in just enjoying each other's company on the HM if you're too tired or nervous!

Yes what @LillyBean said, the main component here is to not put pressure on yourselves to perform a certain way or look a certain way, especially if this will be the first time for both of you. Lingerie may actually make it a little more challenging/ awkward to maneuver (taking it off or pushing it to the side or however you two decide to do it takes some practice to get right). I would save the lingerie until you've had a little practice and can really enjoy it.

An alternative would be a beautiful sheer robe that you can come out of the bathroom dressed in. Easy on and easy off, plus still giving you a bit of coverage if you are a bit shy.

    Best of luck!

Also, FH LOVES lingerie more than anything else in this world. I only own like 5 sets and rotate through them. Everytime I put on his favorite one, he always asks "Is this new? I love this one! You look amazing in this!" and I always chuckle because he has in fact seen me in it so many times. So if you only own a few, that is more than enough

Thank you! I'm trying not to put pressure on myself, but it's so hard. Part of that is because he has had sex before and I hate being new at stuff (especially when others aren't). But he's been nothing but loving and reassuring whenever I start worrying. I usually dress pretty modestly, so this is kind of my trying to treat him a bit.

I so appreciate all the advice and feedback. We've talked about this a lot and I feel very comfortable with him (as I should), but I'm still nervous. Only 12 days left though! I'm so excited (to be married to him and be able to have sex haha).

I bought a few things and FH threw them on the ground after I asked him what he thought. He said that's what it's going to look like after so it looks fine.

I also let him pick out some things that would strike his fancy. He really liked that...

FH is the first in a long line of guys who actually likes me in Lingerie. I would ask your FH what he likes. Also, be prepared for your first time to be awkward, don't throw difficult to remove lingerie into the mix.

We waited too. I bought one expensive AF set for the wedding night (A bra, underwear, robe - separates so the bra could be worn again in non-lingerie Times and I could justify the cost lol) and then I brought this nightie and some pretty underwear for the rest of the time. H loved it but I'm sure he wouldve been fine either way. Don't go overboard. I could've dropped so much money on lingerie but thankfully I stopped myself!

I would just bring 2 and save the rest!
