I thought I had my color picked out for my November wedding. Purple - it is my favorite color and its great because its also a fall color. But now I'm second guessing myself. I feel like a ton of people are using purple and I want to do something different. I'm not a fan of orange and brown so they are out of the question.

My dress is more like a champagne color so the color would need to go well with that. I seen a color swatch of light pink and light silver, and it looked beautiful but my sister says pink isn't a fall color.

Any suggestions? Does the color really have to go with the theme/season?

Choose colors that you love. Don't be afraid to use a certain color because everyone else is going it. I actually love plum as a wedding color. plum with cream and gold is amazing. plum and silver. plum and a dark yellow. (I sound like Bubba Gump!)

FSIL tried to tell me that my colors were to sping-y and not summer-y enough. I told it didn't matter to me and I doubt anyone else would notice, in a tone that made her drop the subject instantly. I honestly don't think it matters that much if the colors don't match the season. But I also think that if purple is really the color that you want, then you should do it! It doesn't matter if other people are doing the same colors, every wedding is still so different. PLus you can probably find lots of decorations for sale! I also like the idea of charcoal and pink, I think that could be beautiful! But I think anything goes well with charcoal.

November bride here, I was doing a light pink and light silver/grey but thinking I may change to a more fuschia pink and dark charcoal grey. I want it to be a little more fun

Do what you love! Our colors are teal and copper and the wedding is basically at the end of summer. Whatever makes you happy is what you should choose. If people are judging your colors then they forgot the reason they are attending!

I would stick to purple because purple is awesome. You could do a burgundy color scheme.
