Not yet engaged

My boyfriend and I have already picked a date too lol! We've discussed how we are going to do finances, when we will have children, where we are going to live, boundaries with families, how we are going to split chores, etc. and we aren't formally engaged yet! We are waiting until we are more financially stable (hopefully mid-later this year) and he will then ask my father for his blessing (so now let's all pray he say's yes lol... ).

My husband and I started dating on July 25th. A few months later, we were looking at a calendar and noticed that our 2 year anniversary was a Saturday. We set that as our wedding date waaay before we were officially engaged. We didn't plan anything at all until another year when he proposed. We used it more as an inside joke until the proposal. We would see a commercial with someone in a wedding dress and he would look at me and say "7-25-2020." It got to the point that when we looked at venues, we immediately ruled them out if that date was unavailable. "We've been saying the date so long, we can't change it now!"
