Here's the deal, a friend of DH and I is getting married next month and I am currently pregnant. My due date has been changing and now is 11 days sooner than my original due date, which is still 2 weeks before this friend's wedding (it was less than a week before). I'm not sure if I should RSVP yes...

Here's the deal, a friend of DH and I is getting married next month and I am currently pregnant. My due date has been changing and now is 11 days sooner than my original due date, which is still 2 weeks before this friend's wedding (it was less than a week before). I'm not sure if I should RSVP yes with my due date being so uncertain. Now I had a Drs appointment this Tuesday and I was told that I could possibly go into labor sooner to just be prepared.

The RSVP deadline is coming up and DH says that I should be fine by then, meaning I probably will already have had the baby and will be ok to go. But I'm not so sure, I would hate for something to go wrong and RSVP yes and then have to call and let them know I won't be able to go but I also think I will regret it if I am able to go and miss it!

What should I do? The wedding is on the 25th of July and my new due date is the 8th (or possibly sooner).

I don't want to persuade you to miss your good friends' wedding, but if you are breastfeeding you may not be able to go! Depending on when you have the baby, of course. All women are different but it can take up until a month for your milk supply to fully come in to be able to pump anything worthwhile! I just want you to be prepared just in case!

If the wedding is close to your house you could maybe feed the baby and just go to the ceremony like someone mentioned?

PS. Boy or Girl?! Or are you guys waiting?!

Will you feel up to shopping for something to wear when you're a week or two post-partum? Your body will not be the same for a while. You may not be sleeping at night, and you may be exhausted. There's more to the question that whether the baby will be here on not.

The best advice is to contact the bride and run through the scenarios. She'll probably suggest that you're a tentative yes, but she won't know for sure until a week before the wedding.
