I feel EXACTLY the same way. Since ours is still far off, I am putting wedding planning specifics on the shelf for a month or so.

It's not going to be lame! As long as you don't have streamers, it will not look like a kids birthday party. Your invites will imply that it will be a short, casual reception, not a wild crazy rager, so it's not like they will be disappointed. Let us know what you decide to do

I'm 100% in the same boat. Nothing I want for our wedding can happen for financial reasons, and I was so set on having a beautiful wedding, it's depressing to me that we can't. I now hate looking at wedding stuff. Weddings are stupid (which, I used to want to be a wedding planner so that's not something I ever thought I'd say).
