We are getting married in September, but me being a teacher, we have decided to wait until summer break.. So sometime between June and August 2020. It just made more sense than to take off time from work.

👋 me too! We have a mini moon after the wedding then back to work we go lol.

Our wedding is in June and then we’re taking a honeymoon in December around Christmas because of schedules.

We’re going on our honeymoon 3 1/2 months after our wedding due to myself being in nursing school (so I have to wait until winter break). I would’ve preferred going on the honeymoon right away, but I don’t mind the short couple of months waiting because it gives me something to look forward to in the hustle and bustle of school lol.

We're spacing our wedding and honeymoon out as well. We're getting married in December and going on our honeymoon next March.

We felt it was a good idea to space it out due to the holidays and winter weather in MD can be a little dicey in January and February. My FH suggested that since we're already pushing it out, why not go during his birthday week.

Im not!!! BUT I think it all depends on you AND him.....not what is the “norm” or what your parents or friends did...... For instance, I suffer from lupus and fibromyalgia so from all the physical and emotional excitement I have to be careful not to overdo it! Like yours he is also taking off work so my FH I are going to sneak off the grid for 3 days to a little and not too costly hotel on the coast, close to where we are marrying and one rule is no phones unless emergency lol so that we can relax and also not have any pressure as well as immediately become consumed and move on to something else but enjoy the moment and rehash the wedding with one another, perhaps let him catch up on his reading and us both catch up on sleep and R&R....nothing extravagant! Then in about six months we’re going to go on our honeymoon since he’s having to already take off over a week of work due to the fact were getting married across the country in his hometown and he doesn’t like to be away from office very long anyways.... So we are flying in about four days before the wedding and staying for about three days after that way also we’re not away from home for too long and he isn’t anxious about getting back (or tense and moody lol) and it allows for us to go home and get a little caught up on things and still have something to look forward to, not too far down the road.... when we are mentally and physically and emotionally ready! (Don’t want to wait or postpone it too long or longer than necessary.... have it booked so there are no excuses or reasons to push it back once real life starts back in as a married couple other things pop up — Its easy to push it back or make excuses to wait if you don’t have solid and paid for arrangements lol)

so depending on how you both function lol I think it is best you do what works for you both! Honeymooning, to me, needs to be enjoyed above all else and more than just a vacation... but a pure treat for you and him..... you’ll have vacations all your life so whatever you got to do to make sure you can fully enjoy it, I recommend that!

We're waiting a bit so we can have a nice budget to work with. Just wasnt feasible for us to do 2 expensive things back to back.

We’re getting married on a very short trip to Florida next week and probably won’t take a honeymoon for about a year. We already have a trip to Mexico coming this summer for my daughter’s graduation gift and So another big trip will have to wait.

We’re marrying in June and plan to Honeymoon the following Jan/Feb for a special cruise! We can’t afford the pto and extra expense. We’re asking for contributions to our honeymoon in our registry since we are older and home is set up well.

I’m taking it right away because we are having a destination wedding. Doesn’t make sense to end it and come back home if we already paid for airfare. We are however leaving the hotel and city to a nearby island because we don’t want to spend the honeymoon with the guest that are staying after the wedding which includes my parents.

We’re also doing the same thing!! We’re getting married in December 2019, but not going on out honeymoon until April!! Reason being we don’t want to go to Hawaii in December ( plus that’s when the cruise line we’re using is offering another trip).

We both decided to have a mini moon since we will be getting married in December a week before Christmas and it will be hectic to travel somewhere during that busy time. Also, my fiance is in the Navy and this Christmas may be my last one with my family for awhile since he is stationed out of state. So, we both want to be here for Christmas and mini moon just works better for us! But we are planning on going somewhere in the summer!

We are getting married at the end of August and are planning our honeymoon in February. I'm an elementary teacher and my wedding is the last weekend before I go back to work and a honeymoon would be too stressful!
