Not excited about the wedding

Is anyone else not that excited about the wedding? I see so many people on here counting down the days or get upset when their bridesmaids aren't excited. I just don't feel that excited for the big day. Right now it's just a matter of finding vendors and checking them off the list for me. Has anyone...

I just don't feel that excited for the big day. Right now it's just a matter of finding vendors and checking them off the list for me. Has anyone else felt this way? Did it change once you got closer to your date? I'm hoping this is all because I'm still pretty far out and I hope I get more excited once I'm closer to the day.

I don't think I started getting excited until I went to a few weddings since we've been engaged. Just imagining that that would be us soon made me really excited!

My excitement waxes and wanes... I think it's totally normal to feel however you feel - there's nothing wrong with not being excited. Some days I can't stop thinking about how awesome the wedding is going to be... then other days the last thing I want to think about is the wedding. But I will say, as it gets closer it gets more exciting.

We are just under two months out, and I am excited now! I wasn't particularly excited when it was still 6+ months away. It was just too abstract at that point.

I was excited up until things got tight at about 2-3 months out. Then I just wanted it to be over with.

But when the day came, I had a wonderful day!

Totally understand. I'm a big checklist person too and for 95% of the planning process I was all about getting it done. I started getting really excited after the bachelorette party and showers thrown for me, about one month out.

Like the others mentioned, as long as you're excited to be marrying your partner, the rest will come as everyone's different!

100% agree with you. I am almost 4 months out and JUST starting to get excited. It is SO much work finding vendors it wears you down and takes the magic out of it, especially if you have a smaller budget it makes it harder. Once you get the tough choices out of the way you can start to visualize and get more excited

I'm going through a non-excited patch right now. I was really excited right after the engagement. Since then alot of financial things have set us back and therefore have sucked the excitement out of things a bit. I anticipate that as I do tastings, pick out centerpieces, etc. That I will become more excited again. It's okay to feel "meh" about it sometimes! It'll come back around

I have been planning for 18 months now and have a little under 5 months to go and have finally just started to be excited this week now that I have checked off a lot of the major to-do's and have moved on to more fun things like I just picked my flowers and I am now buying/making decorations, finding accessories etc. I still have mixed feelings of I can't wait for it to be over but also looking forward to and wanting to enjoy the day
