What are your opinions on wedding dresses that aren’t all white? I chose a dress that is champagne/ivory and my mother wasn’t happy with it, and now I’m not sure how I feel. 😕 Any tips?

The whole white dress thing started with Queen Victoria of England in the 1800s. She made it fashionable and it stuck. Before that, wedding dresses were different colors and white was considered very unusual for a wedding. The whole concept of white being a sign of purity was due to a magazine at the time accidentally making this claim. Don’t let your mom make you feel bad about a tradition that isn’t actually all that old, and has nothing to do with being a sign of “purity” (whatever that means...). If you like another color, go for it! I’m sure you’ll look amazing 😊

It's what you feel and look best in. White isn't the best look for every one.
