Non-traditional Bachelorette Party Ideas?

Ok ladies, here is my little issue... I feel like I am WAY past the point in my life where bar-hopping is fun and I have no interest in going to a strip club. Also, I have yet to go to a spa where my skin didnt totally freak out afterwards (so no spa!) I need some different bachelorette party ideas...

I need some different bachelorette party ideas to toss at my girls. I really, really wanted to take pole-dancing lessons with them but my MOH is being difficult.

What did you do/have heard of people doing?

My bridesmaids and a few extra friends/family are going on a ziplining tour in western massachusetts. I really wanted to go skydiving.... but I was the only one that wanted to do that! Then when we get back we are going to go out for dinner!

I'm not into bar hoping either, and my 19 year old cousin is one of my bridesmaids so even if I was we wouldn't leave her out. One of my favorite things is going to concerts, especially in the summer, so we are going to go to a concert out of town and stay in a hotel over night and make a girls weekend out of it. Do something you love to do and have fun!

I am the same way, I like the wine-tasting idea. Or maybe a spa day? Doing high tea? I think my bridesmaids have decided on a weekend in Nantucket (we are in MA) which should be great Smiley smile

Something fun we did for our friend who was a bride was we spent the day taking her to places that meant something to the two of us- I brought her to DQ where we worked together and bought her an ice cream, her cousin brought her to a gas station- where both of their families used to fill their gas-tanks before a traditional summer road trip to NC- she met another friend at an amusement park job, and we went there they played a game that they used to run.

It was a lot of fun and there were a lot of shared memories- I didn't know the details about her other friends so it was fun to get to know everyone.

I have hosted hundreds of pole dance parties for bachelorettes and I can promise you that you will have a great time. Even if everyone isn't into that type of activity, it's a great way to get everyone to open up and feel comfortable around each other. It's also the perfect way to start a party. Almost every party of ours goes straight to a bar or club to finish dancing the night away.

If you are not into pole dancing, many pole studios offer chair dancing. Chair dance parties are fun because you get to take your skills home immediately. One of our most popular parties is our Coyote Dance party. We teach you a coyote bar dance that can be atop any bar. There are one or two other pole studios in the United States that offer this type of party as well.

Other ideas - vineyard or winery tour, party bus, pub crawl, brewery tour, scavenger hunt, passion parties, jewelry parties, chocolate parties, pool party... oh so many options!

We are probably looking into a scent making party where you can mix your own perfume (with help of course) and get perfume, body wash etc....then maybe a nice dinner or night at the winery. Still thinking of more things, I would love a concert but there aren't any good ones listed yet.

The best bachelorette parties are done on the beach in Long Island and 1 mile from the houses is the Long Island vineyards for wine tours!

We are known for being #1 Bachelorette party or all girls weekend getaway as well as family reunions and weekend getaways because we are only 1 1/2 hr. from NYC.

Everything turned out GREAT! Review Submitted: September 10, 2012 Date of Stay: September 2012 Hello, ladies! Everything turned out GREAT! Everyone fell in love with the house, couldn't stop talking about how gorgeous and spacious it was. Most importantly the bride was floored! The entire weekend was a surprise for her and somehow we managed to keep it a secret. We had everything we needed right under our fingertips and this made for a carefree, totally laid back experience. Wine tasting was fanatastic, but getting back to the house the lobster bake was the highlight. Linda and her crew from Custom Catering did a great job, delicious food and great service. The beach house just creates such a mellow vibe. Everyone relaxes the minute they walk thru the door and no one wants to leave! I would recommend the property and especially the two of you to anyone that asks me about it. Thank you again for your patience with me as I continue to apologize about the check situation. Thanks again for all your help and suggestions along the way, it made for an unforgettable weekend! Best- Agnes, Dana (the bride) and 11 other very happy customers Smiley smile Owner's Response: Agnes, it was so nice meeting you and Dana is so lucky she has you in her wedding party because your an amazing planner LOL. So beautiful everything was. Really glad you all enjoyed yourselves. Virginia & I are in love with our beach house and renting it to such wonderful people like you and your friends makes us very happy. We get to meet such nice people doing what we do. Hope to see you for the next get together. CXome back and see us again. We would love to have you!

I just wanted to share something that some of you might consider when making bachelorette plans for your friends or siblings. One thing I found that makes a great impression is surprising the person with a funny gift. I personally found the "Pecker Pinata" quite amusing and so did the bride and her friends. So when it comes to surprises, this one will for sure be unforgeable. You can see an example here: http://www.room4play.com/products/4731-bachelorette-party-favors-19-pecker-pinata
