Non Diamond Engagement Rings

I personally do not prefer diamonds, every girl has them, I do love Sapphires and the color blue is my favorite, so my engagement ring is a beautiful blue sapphire picked out by my husband

OP, do you want your small solitaire to fit you finger? If so, you have plenty of time to take it to a jeweler to have it fitted (and in the meantime, a SS/Cubic Zirconia -- about $39 at WalMart -- will hold the place of your engagement ring).

Do you want another engagement ring, perhaps set with the stones you mentioned -- the gems you've been obsessed over lately -- pearls/and or sapphires?

Why can't your original ring be resized? Is the swelling you're experiencing expected to go away soon? I'm just kind of confused.

Here is mine with my promise ring underneath. My FH completely surprised me with it as I didn't think he would want to get married again after how tragic his first marriage was. He went with his mother and sister, and all three fell in love with this ring. It's beautiful and classic, just like him. It wasn't the one I wanted, I prefer black diamonds, but I love it because he put so much thought into it.
