There are also late check in time (3pm-4pm) and early check out times 12pm. I don't know how strictly these policies are enforced, but I have to assume they are enforced.

We have 7 BM's, 7 GM's, FH, I, about 2 VIPS, MOG, MOB, 1 photographer, and 1 videographer. Initially, I thought we could get 2 suites for 2 nights from Oct. 19- Oct. 21. 1 for the GM and FH and 1 BM, I, the 2 VIPs, and 2-3 HMU ppl. The photographer and videographer would be in and out of both suites.

Anyhow, Im concerned about the above-mentioned policies and also the prices are insane here in NYC, even with a corporate discount. Any unconventional getting ready spaces?

I don't want to do my parents home bc of distance from venue on a Friday w/ traffic. So we need to be in either Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens,* or maybe even Long Island.

@JoRocka hahahah so laughing at your hotel comment. Yea those are no no's. As for getting ready at the hotel suite, I don't even think my BP would fit. 7 BMs + Me + MOB + MOG + Madrina (Godmother) + Sister in law (who wants to do her makeup with our MUA) + 2 MUAs + 1 Hair stylist + photographer + videographer. I get anxiety just thinking about how crowded this room will be. I really didnt think this through lol.

OP we are getting married at a hotel in Pittsburgh. Though we are staying the night before and after. Our DOC at the hotel has asked if we wanted a meeting room for the girls to get ready in so we have more space than just the hotel rooms. Can you see if they have any space like this you guys could use??

@Melissa thank you. Yes the consensus here has been to request a meeting/conference room for more space. I will look into more details about booking 2 and the price of such arrangement. I am also looking into peerspace as PP recommended, whereby I can rent the space per hour.

You should contact the venue and see if they have any suggestions. I'll bet they get asked this quite a bit.

I had a similar situation since I live on Long Island but am getting married in Boerum Hill Brooklyn at a venue with no bridal Suite. I needed a room for the exact hours between check in and check out. The hotel I reserved my room block at very kindly extended check out until 2pm for us (we need to be at the venue between 2 and 2:30). We reserved it for the night before and my FH will check in the day before and drop off the gown, suit, décor etc. I don't have the challenges of a bug bridal party though.

@firstooneat56 mm thank you that was very sweet of your hotel room to extend checkout until 2pm which is typically 2hrs after checkout (12pm). Although for me I would need a 4pm checkout so they are unlikely to be that generous. And yes my big BP is definitely a challenge, that I never thought about lol. Def. on my things to consider list.

This just came into my mind. I have no idea what they charge but check out:

NYU might have space to rent

OP I'm in the same boat right now! I'm currently waiting to hear back from my hotel to see if the boys can use a small conference room to get ready/ have some drinks/ take photos.

For me and my girls I ended up booking a suite for the night before the wedding and the night of to ensure we have use of the space all day. So I'm gonna sleep there the night before then my FH and I will sleep there after the wedding so I get my money's worth.

Other than a conference room I have zero other ideas for the boys so I really hope it works out
