Non-alcoholic Reception

Kelly, on May 26, 2019 at 1:11 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 8

We are having a non-alcoholic wedding. Instead we are planning on doing a self serve coffee bar, pop, water, and a few non-alcoholic mixed drinks if possible. We are looking for ideas on how to make sure people are getting their drinks but unsure how to have them served/out for people to get themselves without a bartender. Our reception is not anything very fancy but we would also not like to have getting drinks difficult or create a mess. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Your venue and caterer probably have some good ideas. Honestly a table with everything laid out will probably suffice. Put cups at the start then coffee items with coffee ect. Buffet style is self explanatory and easy.

My wedding is also dry due to venue restrictions. I have a large glass drink dispenser that I plan on serving some sort of punch in and then having bottles of water and cans of soda. My wedding isn't super formal however.

    Hey Kelly!

If space allows in your venue, perhaps you could have a couple of different drink stations so that everyone that wants a drink isn’t crowded around the one table. You could do a coffee station and a soda station anyway. You could have glasses and bottles of water on the tables so that anyone who only wants water can get it right in front of them. Buffet style will not be difficult and once you have it spread out a bit, you can easily avoid the chaos.

I really like this idea! We have plenty of space to have a few different drink tables. Thank you!

I would add there are some very pretty jugs for ice tea. Put that on a station with sugar, artifical sweetener and lemons, etc.

I would put sodas in a cooler or a large tin with ice, then have dispensers with things like tea & lemonade.
