Non-alcoholic Beverage Quantity

Brenna, on July 10, 2019 at 7:49 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 3
I'm trying to figure out the quantity of NA beverages for my August wedding. We are serving Beer/Cider/Wine/ & 1 Craft Cocktail option. We have roughly 180 people coming and I wanted to obviously offer NA options. We are planning on Arnold Palmers, Coke & Club Soda (there will also be a water station set up). I know I have at least 5 adults who do not drink and 11-15 underage. I called the company who is serving and they literally told me they couldn't tell me how much to buy because they don't know what my guests will be drinking :/ So any advice on how much to have on hand would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Doing food/drink math sucks. I would suggest loading up on soft drinks. Although you think you only have a few non-drinking adults, plans change. Also those who begin the night drinking may try to reel it in during the last few hours of your reception and try to switch over. Keep your eye out for some good grocery store coupons and get a few packs of each type of soda. Sparkling waters are also trending right now so be aware of that.

I would count at LEAST 2 n/a non water drinks per person.
I would have no less than 2x soda alone on hand. Not sure how popular Arnold Palmer's are though. Maybe 1 each? Even if people are drinking drinks they may change to soda at some point.

Welcome to the WeddingWire community, Brenna!

As the PPs mentioned, it would be a good idea to bear in mind that guests who are drinking alcohol may switch to non-alcoholic drinks later in the evening.

Are the company serving also providing the non-alcoholic drinks? If not, and you’re buying it yourself, would it be possible to return any non-alcoholic drinks not consumed?
