No Videographer regrets?

Erica, on May 11, 2017 at 8:29 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 35

Hi everyone, FH and I just met with a photographer. We liked everything they have to offer except they do not include a videographer in their wedding photography packages. To add a videographer the least expensive is almost $2k. FH said we do not need a videographer and he suggested I ask if any of you regret not having a videographer? Thanks

We hired one because I feel like we would regret it if we didn't. It's totally extra though.

You'll likely regret not having one, IMO.

I was team no videographer. One of our goods friends offered to record the ceremony--I am so thankful for that footage. He also recorded some of tge reception and we treasure that video.

I would try to fit it in.

I've been married for a few years. We didn't have a videographer and I don't regret it at all.

We did not do one. I don't regret it at all! We have the photos and that was what was more important to us!

We're not using a videographer. I know we'll never watch the video and I've seen too many bad videos. I'm fine with just a photographer.

My FH was interested in one. I didn't see the value. But since we could afford one, I always go by "I'd rather regret doing it than not" especially since it's a once in a lifetime thing to capture.

    So we are having one.

Those who didn't have one and don't regret it don't know what they're missing, IMO. We originally weren't going to have one for all the reasons mentioned above. Now, I realize the video is more precious to me than the photos.

We hired a videographer. I definitely would have regretted not having one...I love our video! Can you go with a videographer from a different company?

I didn't want a videographer until someone asked me if I wished I had some video of my pap, who helped raise me and passed away a few years ago. Thinking about that, I absolutely want video of everyone in my family at such a happy moment.

Plus, I imagine one day my grandkids may feel the same way, and I love the idea of them watching it someday.

Why would they? Just like cake makers don't include officiating. Two different skill sets and services, they aren't the same. Smiley smile A great videographer is worth hiring, IF you have the budget to afford them, otherwise there isn't much choice but to be happy you have a photographer you like. It;s better that, than to put good money to bad by hiring a budget videographer who will deliver a mediocre produt and affect your experience.

When I first got engaged almost 2 years ago I didn't even think about a videographer. I actually didn't want one. About 3 months ago I become obsessed with them and made it work with our budget. They aren't top of the line but they aren't terrible. They are reasonable and I still love their work. Think about it you still have over a year

@Jay Farrell one of the 3 companies we are meeting with does offer videography with one of their packages. A company we are meeting with next week offers an add-on for a reasonable price.

@S + D I am considering this as an option to hire a videographer separately from the photography studio if necessary. Thanks everyone for your comments and suggestions.
