OliviaLauren, on March 15, 2016 at 2:07 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 13

I feel like as I get closer to the wedding day I get less and less sleep... Ha.... Anyway, I really really want a leaving dress! Is anyone else doing that and what is yours like??

I was informed by my parents I would be "tacky" to not have some kind of leaving outfit lol. I'm still uncertain, I think it depends on how attached I am to my dress when I pick it. Smiley smile I always thought I would have a second dress, but who's to say lol.

I'm pretty sure leaving dresses (then known as "going away outfits") went out of style decades ago, about the time people stopped leaving directly from the reception for their honeymoon. That being said, if you want one, you certainly could have one.

Personally, I was super against a second outfit of any kind because I wanted to come home in my dress. Hell, I'd still have it on if that were somehow possible.

Lol, haven't heard of that since the late eighties. My "leaving outfit" will probably be either my dress, or the cloths I wear before my wedding (jeans and a button down shirt and flip flops).

I'm way to attached to my dress to want to change! But if you really want it then go for it!

I'm super attached to my dress. I don't think I'll be able to take it off lol! There's no way I would change.

I'll have my rehearsal dinner dress/outfit with me since we'll be staying at the venue, so if need be I'll just leave in that. Otherwise I just plan to leave in my dress. I think this is an expense you can definitely skip because it's so easy to just use something you already have.

Wow some of you guys are harsh! I am leaving right from the reception to my honeymoon Smiley smile so I'm not about to take my whole dress with me on the honeymoon. My fiancé and I don't live together after the wedding and it'll be our first time on the honeymoon so it's a little different I guess Smiley smile

    I didn't see a single harsh comment.

Not doing a leaving dress, but I'm also in the minority with a tea length dress anyway.

Geez - not a single person was harsh. Wear whatever you want to go on your honeymoon.
