No mother of the bride, but i have my aunt instead....how to incorporate her into wedding program

Jennifer , on March 5, 2015 at 8:57 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 2

Hi! So my mother is no longer in my life, but I have a very supportive and loving aunt (and godmother) who plays the role of my mother figure in my life! She will be doing the motherly duties the day of my wedding! The problem is I don't know where to put her name on the wedding program! I have an extremely loving father who is giving me away and his name is going under "parent of the bride" but I have no clue on to where to place my aunts name and to make it clear that she is my aunt...not my mother, technically. she will also be lighting the unity candle for me. Help please! Thank you!

Also should I include her on the wedding invite?! I'm kind of traditional and don't want it to look weird.

Not sure about the invite, but on wedding invitation could you just do like "Parents of the Groom: ..." "Father of the Bride: ..." "Aunt of the Bride: ..."
