NO KIDS ALLOWED (flowergirl, ringbearer) QUESTION

For those of you who are not allowing children at your wedding are you having a FG & RB or NO CHILDREN at all? I am thinking of taking the no kids route (adult reception) since we have decided to do the boat from Kemah instead of a hall wedding/reception. The cruise is 8pm-12am and I just don't...

I am thinking of taking the no kids route (adult reception) since we have decided to do the boat from Kemah instead of a hall wedding/reception. The cruise is 8pm-12am and I just don't think that will be a good look for kids.

Thanks for your input.

This is very helpful. I guess we won't have a FG or RB either. I don't want to say some kids but not all kids, so it's no kids Smiley sad. Thanks all for your help as always.

You don't need a FG or RB. In most instances, the FG is not allowed to drop flower petals anyway and the RB carries only fake rings, so you can just skip them.

We are inviting the kids in our families, and the kids of our WP members. Most of our friends and family want to keep the kids at home so they can have a night out. But, especially for our WP members, we felt like it was fair to give them the choice since they're devoting so much of their days to us.

Kids can come to the wedding, but not the reception. I do want my nieces, nephews, and cousins to be able to see our wedding, but their parents will have to find a way for them to get back home, or they can stay at a room in the hotel.

I think definitely considering that you are on a boat from 8-12 that it is especially fine not to have kids there..I had kids at my reception but it was a hotel ballroom from 5-10..Also there were only a handful there so it wasn't an issue.Sounds like your reception will be a blast! :-)

I'm not even having children in my wedding.. As cute as they are, if you aren't going to have them at the reception, I just don't see a point in having them at the wedding at all. I loooovvvveee kids, but the reception is an adult environment, I just want everyone to relax and enjoy themselves without the kids, make them feel like it's a treat to them.

2d bride, yeah you're right. I'm not having kids at all, not even mine. We will have something for them to celebrate with us the next day. If it was at a ballroom then I would love for them to be there. The ceremony & reception will be on the boat that will be moving so parents won't be able to take them anywhere.

I appreciate you all very much and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Future Mrs. B depending on who may actually need care for their kids is it possible for them to hang out at some nearby house with some sitters stocked with fun things to do and they can entertain them, or host a sleep over?
