Not that I don't have lots of time to figure this out, but is a guestbook worth while? Is anyone not planning to have one? What made you decide not to have one (if that is what you decided)? Does anyone that had one at their wedding still look at their guestbook? FH and I were considering having a globe for everyone to sign, and I found a neat, glass globe that I became obsessed with and the FH pointed out some practicality issues with it, and then we started questioning the whole idea of a guestbook in the first place. I like the idea of guests being able to write out their best wishes, but I don't foresee myself wanting to display a guestbook forever and ever, and I don't see myself looking back into a book if we went that route. I don't know!! Any insight is greatly appreciated!

ETA: Struggling with the words this morning! Must have the coffee!

I plan on doing quilt squares that guests can sign and I can later turn into a quilt.

Honestly, hardly anyone signed ours, I think it's kind of a waste of money that could be used towards something else & no one will miss it.

We had guests sign DH's favorite Christmas book from when he was a child. We hope to read the book to our own children one day if we have them and we can revisit the messages then. We've already read it twice, and there were lots of sweet sentiments we'd like to remember.

I feel like no one takes the time to write a meaningful message in guest books (probably due to the pressure of a line behind them waiting to sign?), and if someone wants to write a truly meaningful message then they'll write it in a card for you.

With that said, we're doing a guest book giant jenga! ...because we love jenga and will make use of it.

At first we were not fans of guest books, but found Etsy and was amazed at the beautiful options. This is what we decided upon and cannot wait to use it in our home.
