NO first dance....

Im trying to figure out am I wrong for not wanting to do the first dance. FH doesn't really care he can go either way. But when people ask and I tell them no we're not doing a first dance they look at me strange or say but why you have to. Me with the same puzzle look they have respond why?!?! So am...

Im trying to figure out am I wrong for not wanting to do the first dance. FH doesn't really care he can go either way. But when people ask and I tell them no we're not doing a first dance they look at me strange or say but why you have to. Me with the same puzzle look they have respond why?!?! So am I missing something is it in the bible or something?!?! Lol anyone else doing away with the first dance?

    We didn't want to do one because of self-consciousness but FH has flip flopped on this so we're doing it. He is more self-conscious in front of crowds than I am so if he can suck it up I will too. Planning a wedding is a surreal process.

    It's your day! You do what you want (and don't do what you don't want!)

    There's no rule, I think people are just used to seeing it at weddings.

    I have really been considering not doing one as well. FH is insanely shy and may possibly pass out during the ceremony, not even going to try and make him dance in front of everybody. Haha! He's already so nervous about having to stand up in front of everyone for the ceremony that I don't want any more pressure put on him. The reception is time for us to party down with our guests so the less interruptions the better! Smiley smile
