Since my father passed I'm not sure what to do as far as who will walk me down the Isle. I was thinking of my grandfather(dads side) walking me and my uncle (dads side) dancing with me for my father daughter dance. Is having an in memory of table with pictures of deceased family and friends who we wished could've attended inappropriate? If you didn't have your father to walk you down the Isle what did you do? What's your opinion on my idea? Thanks in advance!

I am having pictures of my deceased family mixed with my current family and pets at the wedding. My dad passed away too so I am having my mom walk me down the aisle.

My father passed away when I was 17. I have no living or grandfathers. My mom will be walking me down. We will even have a mother/daughter dance. I think you should do what feels right for you. I think what you have planned sounds nice.

I haven't spoken nor seen my father in almost 20 years, it would have been my mom walking me down the aisle but she passed a couple years ago so I'm having my oldest brother walk me and I've been trying to convince my other older brother to dance with me but it may be my oldest brother doing that as well

I think having your grandfather walk you down the aisle is a lovely idea, and I also think a small memorial table is nice, as long as it isn't something very prominant. We had our grandparents' wedding photos displayed at our wedding (my grandmother is our only living grandparent) and then a photo of my step-dad's brother who passed away was also displayed. We put them all around the guestbook so that they would be seen, but didn't do a sign or anything.

My mom is walking me down the aisle and will do a dance with me

We're going to have a memory table at the reception and put it in the program. Some have put it on invitations but I didn't like it.

    It's hard praying for you!

My brother is walking me down the aisle since our dad passed away several years ago. We are going to dance together to You Are Not Alone by Michael Jackson.

My father passed a few months before the big day. ( I got married early in his hospital room dress and all just days before he passed. I had my 2 brothers walk me down the aisle at the big day. I also had a memorial table at the chapel with my parents wedding picture, along with pictures of all the grandparents. I wore my mothers wedding set on my right hand her necklace from my parents wedding on, and also had my grandmothers engagement rings pinned in my dress that day. I skipped the parent dances at our wedding.
