No Family No Wedding?

Hello!

Yes, I have a large family and extended family, but due to our budget restrictions, I'm only inviting a little over 30 people which consists of my 6 siblings, mom dad, stepparents, grandmother, and my fiance's parents and siblings. I don't see it as being anything personal if you cannot afford to invite 100+ people. I think weddings should be about having those around you that love and support your relationship, it's not a show for your guests to brag about them being invited. I hope your family members get that it's nothing personal, but weddings in general can be very expensive.

My family has made comments like that before for my cousin's wedding so I'm sure they'll be saying it about me. Idc lol. Most of my family on both sides didn't have me at their wedding nor do we talk often or get along sooooo this means nothing to me. If you don't want to be rude about it, you could use Covid but brush it off and smile knowing you're going to do what you want regardless.
