NO Electric Slide at Reception

I plan to have all line dances going on at my reception....I am the line dance queen girl

I hear ya on being line dance queen. I have Cha Cha Slide down, need to learn the other two we'll be playing. Or I will just watch everyone else from the Sweetheart Table

I just posted a comment on someone's page about Top 10 Songs NOT to be played at wedding receptions. Macarena was on the list. I also added that I hate the Electric Slide and the Chicken Dance and will forbid the DJ from playing it even if it's requested. I used to video weddings years ago and would hear these songs played all the time and I HATE IT! HATE IT!!!

I'll have to look into the Cupid Shuffle and Wobble. I never heard of those songs. I like the Cha Cha slide though so I'll let that slide into the dance list. LOL.

Nah we definitely having the electric slide, cha cha, cupid shuffle, etc. I love all of them songs and it gets everyone on the dance floor.

I'm having our DJ do a mix of all the line dances together, that way we have them in small portions and get them all out the way at one time

All of those are on my do not play list. There is no justifiable reason, but I hate group/line dances.

I love the Electric Slide but only at family reunions. lol

My fiance wouldn't let the dollar dance go until I compromised by agreeing to the Chicken Dance.

I'm cool with the electric slide. I actually know that one.

@Maureen I saw that Do Not Play link. That's what made me think of this post. I meant to post it earlier. lol

I guess to each his/her own regarding line dances. I'm not against line dances totally, just don't want to hear the Electric Slide during our reception. And I already told the DJ no Chicken Dance or Hokey Pokey for sure.
