No Cell Phones

How do you politely tell your guests that cell phones aren't allowed during the ceremony? You can disagree with me wanting this for my wedding, but I'm going to be paying good money for a professional to take pictures of my big day. The last thing I want is to see a bunch of people with their phones...

How do you politely tell your guests that cell phones aren't allowed during the ceremony? You can disagree with me wanting this for my wedding, but I'm going to be paying good money for a professional to take pictures of my big day. The last thing I want is to see a bunch of people with their phones out or even getting in the way of my photographer. During the reception, guests can do whatever they wish with their phones, but I do not want cell phones during the ceremony.

    A wedding I attended had a sign. It said something about how we want to see your smiling faces not your phones so please keep them put away.

    This is incredibly popular and most people do it now a days. We are having our priest announce it before the ceremony begins.

    I had my cousin create a sign that matched my invitations! Same color, font and design! It stated "unplugged wedding" and etc. I have the exact same thought as you
