No Bridesmaid Bouquets?

Is anyone else doing something besides bouquets? I'm trying to find other ideas to cut cost down, or maybe just do flower crowns since it will be a flowy, and relaxing beach wedding.

I was a bridesmaid in a wedding on a beach and we had no bouquets and wore flats. Why are flats important? Because my balance is better when I'm barefoot in the sand. The video of all of us walking down with our hands clasped together and trying not to eat sand was just awkward all over.

In regards to models walking down with nothing, I can tell you that if I strut my stuff down that aisle, even with a hand on my hip, it would look nowhere near as good and confident as those models!!

OMG I would love puppies. But I would also then be very distracted during the ceremony. And just as a warning, my cousin had her dog walked down the aisle by a friend, and the dog totally drooled all over her satin dress. It looked terrible the whole night and it started out as a very pretty dress. Puppies pee a lot.

This is also why Rusty is not in my wedding. He would just poop halfway down the aisle and then want to go home to lay on his bed immediately.

Sorry, I didn't read that it was a beach wedding. My cousin had a beach wedding and all the bridesmiads just carried a single orchid. Orchids are expensive though so that probably won't be cheaper than a small/inexpensive flower bouquet.

You could make the bouquets your self with grocery store/sams/costco flowers that you order. That would be your best inexpensive option, but keep in mind you can't make them more than a day in advance.

Just go for super simple bouquets. Add more greenery, because it can be less costly (dependent upon type).

Me as a BM at your wedding. All joking aside. I did one stem with greenery. $15 per bouquet.

We are doing a simple bouquet with two stems of green hydrangeas - not expensive or complicated

My BM bouquets consist 5 roses with calla Lillie's in the middle. So simple but that's what i wanted. I think the flower crowns might end up being around the same price of a bouquet unless you diy

They could carry a single flower that'd be pretty! Or sometimes the bouquet is significantly smaller than the brides like 3 flowers and some greenery!

Also if it's on the beach the flower crown might fall off in the wind!

My bridesmaids will be carrying a single sunflower and it will look something like the photo below. I love the way the single flower looks and it cut down the cost of flowers tremendously.

We did just baby's breath for everyone but me, then we used their bouquets in other places for decoration. I attached a picture of their bouquets, but I don't have pro pics back yet so it's a pic of it being used as decor lol. But they were super affordable and I couldn't be happier with them!

What about a single flower with some greens? I would presume that would be much more cost effective than a full bouquet. And I think they're pretty trendy right now if you look on Pinterest!

We're doing something similar to these for the ladies in the bridal party. We all run hot so they may come in handy lol and they fit our '20s vibe.

I don't want traditional bouquets either. I am looking at wrist corsages that way the flowers don't end up on a stray table somewhere while the bridesmaid is dancing, they always have them with them. You can also make a special moment between the bride and the bridesmaids as you put them on their wrist.

I once knew someone who carried a thing of cotton candy down the aisle. Not kidding. I can't imagine the sticky hands were romantic but if that's your style that's an option!

For the people mentioning awkward hands, I completely agree. For the less than a minute my husband was saying his personalized vows I was completely distracted trying to figure out what to do with my hands. They felt so awkward. Going through a whole ceremony like that would be awful!

Our bridesmaids didn't carry anything, but that's because they were holding up our chuppah. Having to hold flowers too would have been difficult.

I thought about hand fans or parasols but decided to go to the bouquet route. I did mine with non-traditional dried flowers, and loved them.

I would just go to a local store and put together simple bouquets if the budget didn't allow for florist made bouquets
