No alcohol for a daytime wedding?

Is it odd to offer a full open bar for a lunch reception? I just found out today it might be possible to have our bar open the whole reception instead of 3 out of 4 hours (YAY!!!). My friend thought it was weird that I was even offering alcohol as it will be lunchtime (11am-4pm).

I think you need to know your crowd. I've been to a few day weddings and most people did not drink hard liquors even though it was available. I would stick to mimosas, Bloody Mary, beer, and wine

Our reception will start around 2 and we're doing a full bar as well!
