Anyone else cut a drastic amount of hair after growing it for your wedding?! Lol. I’ve been growing my hair out for 18 months for the wedding but it’s just gotten so long and heavy and difficult to manage. Wanted to cut 6 inches but my hair dresser said if I cut 8 I could donate it, so why the heck not? :p Rocking the new-wife look now!

I have always been knee to do dramatic things to my hair, but I wanted my natural color for the wedding, along with as much length as I could get, so I haven't touched my hair since coloring it for engagement photos. It's gotten so long, but now I can't stop thinking about what I want to do with it after the wedding.

I've literally been impatiently waiting to chop all my hair off after our wedding lol. I actually chop my hair off and then grow it out to donate about every 1 or 2 years. I have super thick, fast growing hair so I am able to donate a good amount pretty often. This will be my 5th donation! My last one was about two summers ago and I was able to cut off over 13 inches, I think I will be around the same this time around!

My hair is so thick so when it’s long there’s just so much of it and it’s impossible to manage 🤦🏻♀️ I’m so glad it was so long for the wedding photos and I think it looked great, but man I feel so much lighter now 😂
I can’t wait to cut my hair! When my stylist measured it for extensions my hair’s roughly 24” (it’s almost down to my waist) so I’m going to feel so much lighter once I cut it. I’m thinking about cutting it to slightly past my shoulders so that way it’s easier to style (not too short, not too long).
I've always had long hair. Down to the middle of my back or more. I've only cut it short once to donate it in 4th grade and it was a huge mistake. I couldn't even put it in a pony tail. My FH said after the wedding I should cut it short because he has only known me with long hair. I am so nervous but I think I might do it for a change of pace.
I had really short hair in 7th grade and it was absolutely awful but that was also too short to put in a ponytail, and also when I was 11 I had absolutely no idea how to properly care for or style it, so it just looked terrible hahaha.
Mine is JUST long enough to still be able to put it in a lil ponytail which was very important to me!
Omg I can't wait for that! I just got it cut yesterday so tonight will be my first night washing it myself. Washing (and DRYING) my hair always takes so long, I can't wait to see how quick it's going to be now
You look great! I’m definitely in the same boat. My hair grows very fast, and I’ve just been getting trims since we got engaged so that I would have long hair for the wedding. Now that we are married, I’m planning to cut at least 5 inches. I’ve donated my hair in the past, and I’ve definitely got enough to give 8 inches. I’ll probably make a game time decision at my appointment!

I got a trim every 3 months or so, and almost never used heat on it... I almost never use a straightener or curling iron, and sometimes I blow dry but often just let it dry naturally! Heat really damages it so the more you can just leave it alone I think the better
