Anyone else cut a drastic amount of hair after growing it for your wedding?! Lol. I’ve been growing my hair out for 18 months for the wedding but it’s just gotten so long and heavy and difficult to manage. Wanted to cut 6 inches but my hair dresser said if I cut 8 I could donate it, so why the heck...

My logic was I felt like cutting 6 inches just would’ve been wasteful hahaha, if I cut 8 it was actually somewhat-productive lol so I figured I may as well just have short hair for a couple months 🤷🏻‍♀️ It’ll grow back!

Same! It's driving me crazy having long hair now that the weather is getting warmer. I feel suffocated by my hair. I'm going to have to rock the pony or pig tails all summer I think. I'm already planning on making a hair appointment the same week we get back from our mini-moon to get a haircut. Smiley xd

Omg yes, I didn’t even think of this as being a perk of an early-summer wedding (getting to cut it off before it gets super hot) but it definitely is... you can do it though! Try a braid maybe, that usually helps me feel like my hair is a lot lighter, it disperses the weight better than a ponytail or a bun

Oh my goodness YES GIRL!! I got mine chopped right after the wedding and a week before our honyemoon (I have the thickest, curliest hair and I was not about to go to Mexico, Jamaica, and the Grand Caymans with all of that hair in the heat!). Here is a wedding pic (before) and a honeymoon pic (after haircut)! 8 inches off!!! Its like cutting off the weight of wedding planning, isn't it!? At least thats how it felt for me!

Hahaha I feel the same way! Like as if my haircut is what makes it REALLY permanent that we’re married now (not the legal marriage license or anything... hahaha). Your hair looks great both ways Smiley smile

    Your new due looks great!

    BEFORE

*Best photo I could find, sorry. My hair was down to my butt by the time I got married. I've always worn my hair long, FOREVER!

    AFTER

*I felt the need for something different. Thankfully hubby liked it. I got it done the day after we got back from our honeymoon. It was 11 inches cut off total. My dad said any shorter and he wouldn't have liked it, ha! Only person that was truly really upset was my brother.

I CAN'T WAIT to do this. I have been growing my hair out for about 15 months, and it's really starting to annoy me. Yours looks awesome. I'm super jealous! LOL.

Haha, thanks! It's been a little over a week now and I'm still totally not used to it, I haven't had my hair this short since middle school so it's a really weird adjustment lol. My showers have like halved in time though, every time I get out of the shower my husband just stares at me in amazement from how fast I can wash my hair now hahaha
