Newly engaged

Ashley, on May 29, 2019 at 11:18 PM Posted in Planning 0 12
I’m newly engaged and also an event planner. I’m so very excited but overwhelmed. When do I start planning. Also I’m a full time student and a mom of 2. And also a event planner. My wedding is 6/19/21 and I’m just eager to start. Engagement party or bridal shower. I graduate college may 2020 and my birthday is in the same month. I just don’t know what to do and where to start. Help!!!!

You shouldn’t host your own engagement party or bridal shower and the bridal shower is still far away. I would start by coming up with a rough draft of your guest list and a budget. It’s not too early to look at venues since they book up so far out. Besides, you don’t really have a date until you have a venue.

As Pp states you shouldn’t host your own bridal shower or engagement party. With that being said your first step should be deciding on a budget so you can book a venue from there you can look into vendors that fit your budget.

Decide on your budget first! That’s the biggest one, then I would say look at venue and slowly looking at guest lists.
I would recommend not buying a dress until about a year out unless you’re positive you’ll stay around the same weight and your vision won’t change

My centerpieces will be custom made by me and it will take time to make but because I’m a stay at home mom and a full time student. It’s hard not to get things done faster than usual
