My now fiance and I's 6 month anniversary was August 1st. He told me to make reservations at a nice restaurant and to get dressed up. Hes a country boy through and through but I figured its our 6 month anniversary so he must wanna get dressed up. I bought a new dress from Kohls which I loved. He didn't get to see it till I put it on. He knew the color though and bought a shirt to match. He had gave me a diamond heart necklace the night before and he told me he had something else to give me and he'd give it to me at dinner. Well we went to California Dreaming which is right on the water downtown Charleston. Amazing food by the way. We ordered and after appetizers he started asking me serious questions like how far do you see us getting in the next 6 months? Which was kinda confusing because we already called each other husband and wife. I had no idea at this point. I knew he had my other present with him but I didn't know what it was. Then we got our food and we ate a little bit then he said what could be the best thing you could hear right now? And I was like that we'll be together forever but you always tell me that. Then he told me to close my eyes so I did and I could sense him moving around but I didn't know what he was doing. Then he said open your eyes and he was on one knee and already had the box open and said "will you marry me?" Everyone around us was watching and everyone started cheering and I just started crying then a bit of laughter because everyone was watching. It took me a minute to say yes but I did and I kissed him and he slid the ring on my finger. I was in shock. The whole restaurant got up and clapped. The people next to us took pictures and there was group of college kids behind us who took a video. My fiance didn't ask them to either! Then the manager came by and congratulated us and brought us champagne. Everyone kept coming by to congratulate us. Somebody sent us another round of drinks. The whole night was amazing. Best night of my life (so far!)
