New England Waterfront Fall Wedding Colors

Kelly, on August 22, 2020 at 10:26 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 5

Hello everyone! I am looking to get married early October in Maine. The venue is located on the water, but there are some trees in the distance (across the water). I am really interested in blues, teals, greens, and white for colors. I was wondering if any photographers or wedding coordinator have an idea if this could work, even if the fall foliage begins to poke out at this time.

Thanks!

Teals & dark, rich greens are actually awesome colors for Fall! They contrast the reds & oranges of the leaves so that both colors really pop!

Thanks! I was hoping to lighter colors, but we will see! From past pictures, the fall colors are very subtle at that time of the year.

In from the coast, around lakes, rivers, there is a high density of evergreens with lots of yellows, oranges and reds.New England Waterfront Fall Wedding Colors 1
Near yards, meadows, there will be fewer greens, more reds and golds against blue sky. Except storms, skies are usually clear and blue.New England Waterfront Fall Wedding Colors 2

I just got married and we used all of those colors! We weren't on the water and it's not fall, but we are in/from New England and I definitely think it would work. I was trying to find pictures from our preview gallery that had included some foliage colors, you'll definitely have more of them, but hopefully this will help you visualize it a little more.

My husband wore an emerald green tuxedo with a team bow tie and mask and his boutoniere had some reddish-orange berries in it:

There are some perrenial flowers in the background (on the right, near the tables) of this one that kind of look like fall leaves: New England Waterfront Fall Wedding Colors 4I think it would look really nice if there were more of those on the trees and it would be a nice, subtle contrast to your blue/green/teal things, especially if the trees are in the distance.

I love Maine! It would be cute to use some sea glass in those colors as decor - I think those colors would compliment each other well!
