Nervous!!

Antoinette, on June 27, 2020 at 11:29 AM Posted in Planning 0 16
Everything is so very expensive! I am trying to do this with only my fiance and myself.Things are just moving so very slow. Then this COVID stuff is scaring me. What if things are not better by my wedding date?

No one really knows what's going to happen. As you book things, make sure to read the contracts carefully and see what they say about postponements/cancellations due to COVID. It is possible that it will still be an issue in March 2021. The best thing to do is to have a Plan B. Will you reschedule? Will you still get married and have the reception later? Will you cancel the reception and just elope? Hopefully you are able to do whatever it is you originally plan on, but making sure you have a contingency in place can be helpful if things aren't ok by then.

I’m refusing to look at things negatively. Like the pp said, watch the wording in contracts, look for the option to reschedule without extra fees. Also there are many many ways to get married on a budget, but keep track of what you buy. Even those thrifty trips to Dollar Tree add up quick.

Honestly, I’ve felt better...still not 100% ok but better since we have discussed our Plan B. Things are constantly changing and we’re adding things such as masks & sanitizer for everyone if we go through with our Plan A which is stressful because A. The added expense and B. Being sure this is safe for everyone

Well I'm not sure what your options are but if you're really nervous about it, maybe postpone it...it takes some pressure off for sure! We were in planning mood for so long...not even enjoying the full experience. Now that we've decided to postpone, we couldn't be happier. Covid sucks but it gave us a break to slow down. Still a few items to purchase but there's so much free time to enjoy the ride now!

Ugh. Welcome to wedding planning. The cost of everything made me cry on several occasions. 😭

Hey, I got married 3/20 (2017)! Good date. I hope Covid is gone by then for you.

Then you can have a plan b, smaller scale ceremony and wait til things improve for the big reception. It will be ok, hun. Lots of brides are in the same boat, but it doesn't mean the dream of the big wedding has to go by the wayside and you can still have your wedding date 💗 try not to panic or worry too much. ::hugs::

My niece is getting married 12/2020. I thought she would be nervous, but she's not. She's taking it day by day.

I know things are not looking good, but they're better than they were 2 months ago. Stay in prayer, focus on your life and He will put things in order.
