Nervous about ordering dress online

I am a "plus" bride as well. Well, i was. When i first started trying on dresses i was in an 18 and im down to a 14 now, but that's besides the point.

I have not used this company or heard of them but i will say, i went to David's Bridal twice to try on dresses and didn't like anything so i purchased a dress on Amazon! (I know, right? They really do sell everything!)
Anyhow, it was $99 total and arrived about a week after i ordered it. The dress actually fit really well, and was pretty, but just wasn't what i wanted. I didn't realize that at the time. I thought i wanted an all over lace dress, but the one i bought on amazon, as well as all the all over laces i tried on in stores just were not what I wanted.
I think if you found a dress you love but its out of your range i would look for one that is very similar and if its in your budget then get it. Check out the return policy first and also if you get it and don't like it, i would take it to a seamstress and see what you could change about it so you did. Another thing Id suggest is look at yourself in the dress that you love on you and make a list of things that you love about it. Then when you look online make sure the dress you buy has those same things.

I actually had a good experience with ordering my dress & it came from China. I was surprised. It was $200. I have a lady doing a few slight alterations. I don't have the money for a name brand dress & it never crossed my mind. Lol. I don't think anyone will ask me who my dress is by. I was definitely scared to order but it came in 10 days & to me, it is good quality. I am a size 14 normally but I ordered a 16.

But I was in love, so I looked all over online for about a week and finally found my dress from a bridal boutique in Savannah Georgia for $1600 (Still more than I wanted to spend) so I messaged them and agreed if they would accept $995 & an hour later I ended up buying my dress.
Yes, I went from $100 to $1,000 but still, it was way better than $2,000. Plus the boutique required i use their seamstress, with prices starting at $250 and going up to $750 'per item'.
My alterations total cost $150 from my seamstress and that was for adding a corset (which i just decided to change back to a zipper lol So that will be another $50), taking in the hips, adding a bustle, bringing in the bust and hemming for my height.
Anyhow, sorry, i just wanted to tell you Amazon has a bunch of sellers and if you message them with a pic of the dress most of them are willing to try to make it. It probably won't be exact but who knows you might love it more. And with Amazon you always have the option to return it if its Prime.

Note: The buttons in the second pic are only crooked because that was about 20lbs ago and it fit but was tight.

You should check out jjshouse.com if you haven't already! They have some beautiful dresses, and they are inexpensive. I have ordered bridesmaid dresses through there and my mom ordered her mother of the bride dress through them. Everything I have gotten has been really good quality! I also order my flower girls dresses from them. You can order custom sizing as well!

Try Azazie! They're a U.S. based company with great prices and options for plus size girls. Here's a few similar items I found on their site. All but the last of these dresses are $400 or less. You could also look into BHLDN or CocoMelody

I've tried coco. They won't make it. Also, Azazie don't customized dresses.
