Nervous about ordering dress online

I ordered my first dress through dhGate. It arrived and it looked exactly like the picture and was very well-made. It was shockingly nice! I decided to buy a different dress at a boutique because the other dress just didn’t look right on me.
If you do order online, be sure to try on dresses beforehand and know what looks good on your body. Make sure to check reviews on the seller you purchase from. Look for someone with thousands of positive reviews. Don’t just go for the cheapest one. Also, I recommend spending the extra money to have it custom-sized. Be sure to go to a seamstress to have your measurements taken. I know there are horror stories out there, but you can buy a good dress if you do your homework.

JJ's House is pretty reliable, quality is amazing and most dresses are under $200. They have plus size dresses. See if you can find something you like there.

I have had the same thoughts. I am going with a company that is based in California. My dress will be Grease style dress. Good luck on finding your dream dress.

I got mine in amazon custom fitting. Came in 3 weeks. I love it can’t wait to wear it. Good quality dress.

Omg I would be nervous too. I say purchase it with a good credit card or they PayPal that has a refund policy that covers you just in case. Make sure you email the vendor multiple of times before to see their response and document everything in case you need to do a claim thru your credit card.

I would be nervous ordering from a China site because if it’s not what you wanted or thought, you usually can’t get your money back. I’m from MD also have you checked Curvacious Couture? It’s in Columbia and has a huge selection. Also Charie Amoure in Savage has used dresses that look brand new, great prices, and very different selections. I ended up getting my dress from Camille La Vie, it’s in the Potomac Mills mall in VA but totally worth the drive. They also have one in Philly too so depending on where you are in MD it’s not too bad. The dresses are fairly priced. Mine was a remake of a Maggie Sottero for only $900. They do have plus size as well. You can check their website for their current dresses they stock.

I've heard good things but it makes me nervous because I used to be a size 18 when I originally bought my dress and every dress I thought would look great online did not in person haha. I bought a style I never thought I would and I feel like it goes that way a lot of the time. However, if you have enough time to return it and can I don't see anything wrong with trying.

You have checked every box =). Last though. I saw a review on youtube and a girl had her dress made by a women in China. She literally cried because the dress was gorgeous and looked exactly like the one she wanted. It cost under $400 bucks too and I simply loved the dress myself. I think you should try this lady. You may have to compromise a little on the price or the top of the dress to get what you want. Its amazing you can't find it second hand some place locally. I could not find the dress I wanted second hand to save my soul! But it popped up on Tradesy new and I brought it. I love it!!!!!!!!
