Hello
I am getting married in 2020 and have fallen in love with 2 venues in the mountains of North Carolina!
IF you have toured either of these venues OR attended a wedding at these venues OR have had your wedding at these venues, please offer your opinion or advice!
Twickenham House offers accommodations for almost 50 guests for 3 nights for the same price that The Vineyards at Betty's Creek offers accommodations for 12 people for 2 nights. So Twickenham House is definitely more bang for my buck!
BUT The Vineyards at Betty's Creek has STUNNING mountain views from EVERY angle and every room! The ceremony to the reception whereas Twickenham Terrace only has views from their one cliffside ceremony spot.
The reception room at Twickenham would be heated and has a HUGE fireplace (20 feet large) that is the show stopper in a room with SUPER TALL ceilings, it is elegant and classy! Whereas, The Vineyards at Betty's Creek has a beautiful reception with unparalleled views of the mountains but no super high ceilings and fireplace and I don't believe it is heated.
My wedding will be in the Fall which has chilly nights in NC mountains...
Lastly, Twickenham House offers a movie theater, an indoor pool, a hot tub, sauna, pool table, and so much more while the other venue doesn't offer even half the amenities.
I had made my decision to go with the Twickenham House because I felt it was more bang for my buck and just felt like a better fit even though I am desperately missing the views from the other venue and wish I could combine them both! But the main reason I am torn is because I have heard several negative things about the Twickenham House and nothing negative about The Vineyards at Betty's Creek.... I know you can't make everyone happy, but I just want to make sure that I am making the ABSOLUTE best decision so that my day can be as perfect as possible
Thanks for your feedback!
